About Almirida
Almirida is the most sought-after village in Apokoronas, and is renowned for the best beaches in the region, excellent beachside tavernas and cosmopolitan bars all of which are popular with both locals and visitors. It is universally regarded as one of the best locations for a truly relaxing holiday. There are several good shops and supermarkets s which cater for most day-to-day needs.

The main reason for Almirida’s popularity has always been the long expanse of sandy child-friendly beaches, bordered by popular traditional tavernas which retain the flavour and ambience of the original fishing village. Another 5-7 minutes drive along the coast takes you to the centre of Kalives with all its shops, supermarkets, post office and bank. Nearby inland Vamos has an excellent 24 hour health centre (English-speaking).
